A well-rounded employee is an asset to any business. These employees possess qualities that include the willingness to take on a wide variety of tasks, the ability to learn quickly, a tendency to observe, a fondness for team work and relationship building skills. Virginia (Vicky) DeLuna is an example of this type of employee, and it is for this reason, and others, she has been selected as our May Star of the Month.
Vicky has been a member of the Austin Bank team since 2018 and her job title says it all. She is a Human Resources Support Assistant working in the Jacksonville Training Center. She brought with her previous recruiting and human resources experience from other local companies in Jacksonville. In her role, she handles many different duties ranging from pre-employment processes, training seminar preparation, assisting with new employee orientation, to ordering business cards and nametags plus much more. She is flexible enough to adapt and thrive in various settings while learning and lifting up those around her. Coworker Shaunna Nolen shares, “Virginia helps everyone in our department without hesitation and always with a smile. She works very efficiently and has learned multiple tasks and duties to be a help to us all.” Her coworkers are confident leaving tasks in Vicky’s hands, as they know they will be handled competently and professionally. Her attitude is exceptional and she always treats others with respect and kindness.
A life-long resident of Jacksonville, Vicky has two children – Allison and Abigail. She enjoys spending time with her girls, traveling to watch their sporting events and is a member of Central Baptist Church in Jacksonville.
