Our first Star for 2023 is someone who enjoys their job and unfailingly puts in their best effort regardless of the task assigned. She models honesty, integrity and great moral character in everything she does. We are excited to share that Morgan Nelson, AVP/Retail Office Manager for the Longview Greggton location has been selected as our January 2023 Star of the Month.
A member of the Austin Bank team since 2008, Morgan has risen through the ranks serving as a teller, teller operations supervisor, and customer service representative before a promotion to her current role in 2018. “Morgan is willing to give her all for the people she leads and that fosters respect from those around her,” shares Amanda Atkins, VP/Assistant Retail Market Manager in Kilgore. “You can count on her to be consistent and to stick with something until the job is done,” she adds. Morgan has also been recognized for her optimistic attitude and the positive contributions she makes to the company. A fellow co-worker notes, “She is consistently helpful and positive during her interactions with customers and employees. She is always willing to help where needed.” Morgan takes ownership of her role within the company and is committed to the values held by Austin Bank. She works for the overall good of the company and for what is in the best interest of those around her.
A lifelong resident of White Oak, Morgan is a graduate of White Oak High School. She has also completed the Austin Bank Leadership School and serves as a Mentor in the bank’s mentorship program where she shares her knowledge and wisdom with new bank employees. Morgan and her husband, Jace, have one son, Luke. She can often be found out at the ball fields (all types) watching her son, but when not there, she enjoys shopping, hanging out with friends and taking fun trips. The family are members of White Oak Community Church.
