This month’s Star may be new to supervisory roles, but she has come in and made her team’s well-being, growth, and success a priority. With a focus on open communication, empowerment, and creating a supportive environment where everyone feels valued, she leads her team well and is committed to their success. We are excited to introduce you to Odulia Ramirez, Teller Operations Supervisor in our Marshall location, and our November Star of the Month.
Odulia joined the Austin Bank team in 2021 as a teller, bringing with her several years of retail customer service experience. She was promoted to teller operations supervisor in March 2024. However, even prior to assuming the role, Odulia often assisted with training and other managerial tasks when leadership was out of the office. Once in her new position, she made a concerted effort to prioritize teamwork and create a positive environment. Odulia takes the time and puts forth the effort to get to know each of her team members, learning their strengths and weaknesses so she can best utilize those strong points and help them grow and develop areas that may not be as solid. She regularly acknowledges their efforts and shows her appreciation. A leader who leads by example and makes herself available to help wherever needed, Odulia strives to consistently better herself and her team by learning new things and passing that knowledge on to others. She shares not only with her employees, but also with new members of the Austin Bank family through the bank’s mentor program.
In addition to her duties as teller supervisor, Odulia also helps with party planning and organizing events for the Marshall office. She enjoys being crafty and artistic, making decorations, floral arrangements or other items that might be needed. Outside of the office, Odulia enjoys spending time with family and friends, including supporting her four nieces and two nephews in all of their extracurricular activities. Her hobbies include reading and listening to music. She is a resident of Marshall and graduate of Marshall High School.
