This month’s Star brings creativity and a passion for telling the bank’s story to every task assigned. We are excited to have her on the Austin Bank team and look forward to watching her career grow. Please help us congratulate Sydney Peloquin, Digital Marketing Specialist, on her selection as our January Star of the Month.
Sydney began working for the bank in October 2023 as a teller at our Bullard location. When a position opened up in the Marketing department, she was quick to apply, wanting to put to good use the knowledge and experience garnered during her time at The University of Texas at Tyler where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in communication. She moved into her current role in October 2024, and now works to translate company vision into engaging narratives, building authentic connections and fostering a shared culture through storytelling on various social media platforms. Sydney uses her creative skills to create content appropriate for audiences both within and outside of the bank – for team members and customers alike.
Sydney has a unique ability to build connections – helping internal team members see their role in the company’s story – and fostering belonging and commitment. Recently completing the large task of spotlighting each one of the bank’s 41 locations, Sydney created content that allowed each office, regardless of size, to feel special and important. Alexandria Rogers, Vice President and Assistant Retail Market Manager, shared “Sydney came to our location to showcase our staff for a marketing feature. As our team is not used to being on camera, we were all a bit nervous and unsure of what to expect. Sydney quickly put all our nerves to rest with her warm and welcoming attitude, reassuring the team it would be a painless experience – and it was!.” Alex went on to share, “Sydney has helped bring the entire bank together by spotlighting each branch and department. We are all so proud to work for Austin Bank and having Sydney dedicated to showcasing that means a lot.”
A graduate of Tyler Legacy High School, Sydney earned an associate’s degree from Tyler Junior College before completing her studies at UT Tyler. She now resides in Tyler and enjoys attending live music events with friends and PC gaming – specifically Marvel Rivals.
