January 2022 - Star of the Month - Shannon Moosberg

“Positive people show their positive attitude in their words, actions and feelings,” says Rachel Sheerin, speaker, author and trainer.  “Positive people radiate differently, just by walking in a room with their energy – it changes the world and people around them.”  Studies have also shown that employees with positive attitudes are more productive, typically more engaged and are good role models for other employees.  Our first Star for 2022 fully embodies each of these traits, and we are proud to honor Shannon Moosberg, Customer Service Representative in the Tyler West Loop office, on her selection as our January Star.

Shannon joined the Austin Bank team when she came to work in the Van location as a Teller in 2010 bringing with her two years of previous banking experience.  In 2014, Shannon transitioned to the customer service role in Van before moving to the Tyler West Loop office in 2020.  Now she puts her 13 years of banking experience to use not only for our customers, but also for fellow employees serving as the Regional trainer for new CSRs.  “Shannon is always willing to help, answer questions and you can hear her smile when you speak to her over the phone,” shares Margaret Mullinnix, SVP/Retail Market Manager, Tyler Downtown.  Shannon’s supervisor, Wendee Bailey, added, “She takes pride in the work she does and makes our customers feel very welcome in her role as Customer Service Representative.”

A resident of Ben Wheeler, Shannon and her husband, Nathan, have two children and two grandchildren.  In addition to spending time with family, she enjoys relaxing on her back porch, fishing at her in-laws pond and traveling with Nathan on his Harley.  The family attends First Baptist Church in Edom.

“Shannon has a heart to serve and please others which leads to awesome customer service and great rapport with fellow employees.  She makes everyone smile and never has an unkind word for anyone.  Shannon has become an exceptional mentor and CSR trainer and is the perfect example of STAR service and excellence.”

Kelly Tunnell, SVP/Retail Market Manager, Van

“Shannon is a great asset to our location.  An exemplary team player, Shannon is the first to open or close when staff is short and always willing to help wherever there is a need.  I look forward to working with her for many years to come.”

Wendee Bailey, AVP/Retail Office Manager, Tyler West Loop

“We are very lucky to have Shannon as the CSR trainer for Smith County.  Her experience and knowledge have helped our new CSRs and Universal Bankers gain the knowledge and confidence they need to do their jobs.”

Margaret Mullinnix, SVP/Retail Market Manager, Tyler Downtown
