Star of the Month - August 2023 - Robbie Davidson

In the current business culture, the Information Technology (IT) department plays a vital role in the success of a company. Upon the shoulders of this department’s team members rest the responsibility for keeping the company’s technology infrastructure up and running smoothly while also providing support to employees who may encounter problems with said technology. You can imagine it is a never-ending task, especially in a company the size of Austin Bank. Despite the heavy responsibilities, nominations for this month’s Star praised his ability to maintain a positive attitude, quick response times and willingness to step in and help in any situation. We are proud to announce that Robbie Davidson, Systems Administrator, is our August Star of the Month.

With more than 25 years’ experience in computer science, Robbie joined the Austin Bank team in January 2021. He oversees the technological needs of multiple bank locations in addition to the bank’s training center. “Robbie has been a major asset to the training center since day one,” shares Shaunna Nolen, VP/Education and Training. “He is very knowledgeable and always has a solution for any problem we experience with our equipment. He responds quickly when needed and has the best attitude.”

Robbie utilizes his years of experience to solve problems and mitigate downtime so that others have the tools they need to perform their tasks. He is concerned with the greater good and success of the company as a whole, willing to step in and help with an issue even when it may not necessarily pertain to technology.

Born in Charleston, South Carolina on the naval base, Robbie later moved to Duson, Louisiana and graduated from Acadiana High School in Lafayette. He earned a degree in computer science from Remington College. Now residing in the Arp community, Robbie and his wife, Tammy, have two children – Conner and Gavin – and five dogs. In his free time, Robbie enjoys gardening, woodworking and painting gaming miniatures.
