Star of the Month - August 2022 - Deborah Moore

A quick Google search will tell you the top qualities of a great call center representative.  Though the number of those qualities ranges anywhere from six to ten (or more) depending on whose list you are looking at, a few of those qualities are noted repeatedly.  Our August Star displays each of these attributes in her day-to-day duties.  It is for these, as well as her excellent treatment of our Austin Bank customers and team members, that we are proud to announce Deborah Moore, Telephone Customer Service Representative, as our August Star of the Month.

Patience; clear and effective communication; empathy; attentive listening; positive attitude; adaptability; knowledge about products and services; and a willingness to go the extra mile are just a few of the skills noted in the articles mentioned above.  In addition, they are the traits that come to mind when describing Deborah.  A member of the Austin Bank team since 2005, Deborah has been on the front lines of customer service in the Customer Care Center since 2008.  Entrusted with the demanding task of pleasing and appeasing customers in a vast number of situations, Deborah calls on her many years in banking to handle the complexities of the job.  A recent comment from a mystery shopper summed it all up perfectly - “I do not believe there is anything that the representative (Deborah) could have done to improve the service.  She was attentive, upbeat and caring.  She conducted the presentation as if working for Austin Bank was her passion.  She took her time to make sure she understood my questions and then carefully answered them, ensuring along the way that I understood everything.  Her knowledge of the products offered by Austin Bank instilled confidence in me that this bank would fulfill its promises and that my needs as a customer would be filled.”  Yet another shared, “my overall experience was excellent because the representative was polite and professional during the call.”

Throughout Deborah’s banking career – with Austin Bank and prior – she has worked in bookkeeping, accounting and customer service roles.  In fact, she started in bookkeeping at the Bank before moving to her current position.  A resident of Longview, Deborah is a graduate of Longview High School.  She has two daughters and three grandchildren.  In addition to spending time with family and friends, Deborah loves to shop for what she refers to as “diva” clothes.  She is a member of The Potter’s House in Dallas and assists with women’s groups at the church.
