May 2022 - Star of the Month - Karson Noe

Initiative.  Researchers Michael Frese and Doris Fay define it as “work behavior characterized by its self-starting nature, its proactive approach, and by being persistent in overcoming difficulties that arise in pursuit of a goal.”  Those who show initiative can be seen doing things without being asked, seeking out knowledge that is needed, and persevering despite complications.  Initiative is just one of the Star qualities of this month’s honoree and we are pleased to share more about her here.  Congratulations to our May Star of the Month, Karson Noe, Customer Service Representative at the Longview Loop location.

Karson joined the Austin Bank team in 2016 as a Teller at this same location.  Eagerly learning all she could while in this role and with her previous management experience in a different industry, she was promoted to Teller Operations Supervisor in 2018.  Striving to reach her career goals, Karson takes responsibility for her professional development and seeks opportunities to make things happen.  This was evidenced by her decision to transfer from her supervisory role to her current position in 2021.  Recognizing an opportunity to learn more about a different role in the Bank, she took the initiative to make the move.  Her team members share that she is an “excellent employee and such a HARD worker!”  Always in a positive mood, Karson is friendly to everyone who walks through the doors of the Bank and consistently works for the betterment of the group.

Karson and her husband, Jacob, live in Longview with their dog, Max.  She is a graduate of Longview High School and attended Kilgore College.  In addition, she has completed CTR Bootcamp, the Bank’s Leadership I training and serves as a Mentor in the mentorship program.  Karson has a twin sister and loves spending time with her family . . . especially babysitting her two nieces.  She and Jacob are members of the First Baptist Church of Judson.

“Karson is such a kind and compassionate person.  She is smart, hard-working and exemplifies leadership daily.  A great asset to Austin Bank, I am glad to call her my coworker and friend.”

Lynnette Martin, AVP/Retail Office Manager, Longview Loop

“Karson strives for excellence in all she does.  This became apparent when she transferred to the role of Customer Service Representative in order to add to her banking knowledge and further her career.  She always has a smile and is willing to help and learn!”

Lisa McCoy, SVP/eBanking Manager, Jacksonville
