The Austin Bank core values of honesty, service, community and integrity are all words that have been used to describe our March Star. In a recent letter to the Chairman of the Board, a customer described our Star as “friendly, courteous and providing over-the-top customer service.” For these reasons, we are pleased to announce Kimbra Warren, Customer Service Representative in Troup as our March Star of the Month.
Recently Kimbra provided outstanding customer service to a caregiver assisting an elderly customer who is now in a nursing home. There were issues on the account arising from a family member gaining access to the funds without authorization. Kimbra and the rest of the staff in Troup quickly took care of the problem and went out of their way to watch over the account. “Although this account retains minimal funds and does not have a high income balance, it did not alter the service that was provided by Ms. Warren,” stated the caregiver in her letter to Jeff Austin, Jr.
Having joined the Austin Bank team in 2011, Kimbra has been a welcomed addition. Lisa McCoy, Retail Market Manager, stated “She is a team player that loves what she does and sets standards for others to follow.” Kimbra came to the Bank with more than 7 years of banking experience plus a long history of customer service positions and teaching. In addition to her commitment to provide a high level of customer service, Kimbra is also dedicated to her teammates. Whether assisting the Retail Office Manager with branch décor, opening and closing the office or assisting the tellers, Kimbra performs each task with a smile.
Kimbra and her husband, Tommy Fite, live between Whitehouse and Troup. They have six children and 15 grandchildren. Kimbra and Tommy volunteer at the annual Customer Appreciation Day for Steele’s Feed in Troup and are members of the Cast Iron Dutch Oven Cooking Club that meets at Tyler State Park. The group presents cooking demonstrations providing a meal and time to answer questions. Kimbra loves to do all sorts of crafts, including crochet and making gourd art.
“Kimbra is a tremendous asset to the Troup office. She is willing to jump in at a moment’s notice to assist in any capacity from opening the door for a customer to assisting the staff. Kimbra’s warm smile and attention to detail have made her a favorite with the Austin Bank customers.”
Terry Williamson, Location President, Troup
