November 2017 - Star of the Month - Nick Lusk

by Austin Bank 14. November 2017 16:19

This month’s Star was nominated for his ability to work well with others while promoting a culture of personal growth and training.  He takes pride in his work and his personality will quickly win you over.  Please join in congratulating Nick Lusk, CLD Assistant Manager, Whitehouse, on his selection as our November Star of the Month.

Joining the Austin Bank team in 2014 as a Loan Document Specialist, Nick brought with him eleven years of experience with Citizen’s First Bank.  During his tenure there he worked as a bookkeeper, loan processor, assistant cashier and operations officer.  “Nick has been a tremendous asset to the CLD team since day one with his focus on learning as much as possible so that he can assist the team and lending staff,” shares Shirley Coe, SVP/Loan Document Manager, Whitehouse CLD.  With his previous experience and a penchant to continue learning, Nick has an open door policy for his team members and those outside of CLD.  “The lenders and loan assistants appreciate his desire to help them in any way possible,” comments Rick Waldrop, SEVP/Chief Credit Officer, Whitehouse.

Nick and his wife, Jennifer, live in Whitehouse with their two cats – Cheeto and Pretty.  He is a graduate of Rusk High School, Tyler Junior College and the University of Texas at Tyler.    Nick is currently working on his Master’s degree at UT Tyler and hopes to be a university professor one day.  With a bit of a reading obsession, Nick has a book collection so large that he has a card catalog and check out system for when someone wants to borrow a book.  He also enjoys volunteering his time at St. Paul’s Children’s Foundation through the CLD partnership with the organization and is proficient in reading and writing Latin.

“Since Nick was named Assistant Manager of CLD he has become a valuable addition to Austin Bank’s management team.  Though Nick does not have direct customer contact, he gets in the trenches to expedite loan document preparation which enhances the Bank’s excellent customer service.”

Rick Waldrop, SEVP/Chief Credit Officer, Whitehouse

“As my right hand, Nick has proven to be reliable, supportive and a great sounding board when tough decisions are needed.  He has truly proven himself to be a Co-Captain of this large team called CLD and is very deserving of this Star of the Month award.”

Shirley Coe, SVP/Loan Document Manager, Whitehouse CLD

“Nick has been a great addition to the CLD team and Austin Bank family.  His continued willingness to learn new job duties and put them into practice in his everyday work environment shows the dedication he has for his own growth as well as that of the Bank.”

Karrie Fields, Operations Officer, Whitehouse
