May 2016 - Star of the Month - Brandi Morton

by Austin Bank 11. May 2016 14:12

Hired as a Junior Credit Analyst in 2009, this month’s Star proved to be a quick study, receiving a promotion to Credit Analyst 1 in 2012 and to Banking Officer earlier this year.  Summer intern Michael Crowell shared, “Brandi is a hardworking and cheerful credit analyst, always helpful to her fellow analysts and always ready for the difficult assignments that come through the department.”  Please join us in congratulating Brandi Morton, Credit Analyst in Longview Greggton, on her selection as our May Star of the Month.

Brandi comes to work each morning with a positive attitude and warm “good morning” greeting.  Throughout the work day she maintains that cheeriness and shares a smile with colleagues at every opportunity.  Known for being straightforward and genuine, Brandi works hard to serve her coworkers.

“Brandi’s desire to help others creates respect and admiration from coworkers and is evident in the quality of work that is produced,” comments Russ Gideon, SEVP/Chief Lending Officer, Jacksonville.  While sustaining a high work output and efficiency, she serves as a mentor to fellow credit analysts and is never too busy to answer questions.

A graduate of White Oak High School and the University of Texas at Tyler, Brandi is a stepmother to two daughters, Rebekah and Ella, and lives in Longview with her husband, Scott.  Very active in her community, she works with several community organizations and is a great fundraiser.  Brandi is a Gregg County North ACS Relay for Life Committee Member and Relay for Life team captain for Austin Bank, as well as team leader for the Austin Bank participants in the Newgate Mission’s annual Gobble Wobble.  In addition, she is a member of First Baptist Church of Gladewater.  Brandi loves spending time with family and friends, Nascar, and has a special fondness for animals.  This affinity leads Brandi to work finding homes for animals in the humane society shelter or any strays she runs across and her involvement with Bark for Life held in conjunction with the annual Relay for Life event.

“Brandi has met and exceeded all expectations as a credit analyst.  She has acquired the necessary skills and advanced into a leadership role supporting the Senior Credit Analyst, Kim Raney.”

Billy Mullins, SEVP/Risk Management, Longview Greggton

“Brandi always goes the extra mile and takes great pride in her work.  She volunteers for various organizations and has a deep passion for her family and friends.  She is truly an asset to Austin Bank.”

Kim Raney, SVP/Senior Credit Analyst, Longview Greggton

“Brandi is a very dedicated, knowledgeable, hardworking and considerate individual.  She is extremely helpful to the lending staff and continually strives to produce information in a timelier manner to assist the lending staff in making important credit decisions.”

Russ Gideon, SEVP/Chief Lending Officer, Jacksonville

“Brandi is very detailed with her work and conscious of the final product.  She does an excellent job of balancing the requirements of her tasks with the requirements of the lenders.  In addition, she has taken the initiative to get involved in various community projects and represents the Bank well in all of her endeavors.”

Jason Petersen, EVP/Regional President, Longview Oak Forest
