June 2018 - Star of the Month - Courtney Watts

by Austin Bank 13. June 2018 09:27

Known for her tendency to help those around her and share knowledge from her more than 13 years in banking, this month’s Star is a favorite of team members and customers alike.  Please join us in congratulating Courtney Watts, Universal Banker in Lindale, on her selection as our June Star of the Month.

Courtney joined Austin Bank in 2007 as a Floater Teller.  Always ready and willing to learn more, she quickly progressed into roles as a Teller, Customer Service Representative, Universal Banker and Banking Officer working in several of the Tyler offices.  “Courtney has always been willing to transfer to where the greatest need was at the time,” shares Maria Davenport, Retail Market Manager for Smith County.  “She has always been flexible and was so excited when the office in Lindale opened.”  Before assuming her position as a Universal Banker in Lindale, Courtney served as the Smith County CSR trainer, working with other employees as they transitioned into their new roles.  Courtney set the bar high, demonstrating how to be a team player in many facets – helping at the Teller line, directing customers to lenders, and helping the Retail Office Manager when possible.  She has a wealth of knowledge and experience to draw from and became a trusted “go-to” person for employees and customers seeking answers or solutions.

A graduate of Lindale High School, Courtney and her husband, Anthony, reside in Lindale with their three sons – Connor, Cason and Cory.  They are members of a local cowboy church and she loves spending time with her dogs, horses and watching her boys play sports.  She has completed numerous banking courses including the American Bankers Association Certified Customer Service Representative program.

“I have been so blessed to have Courtney as one of my first Universal Bankers at the Lindale office.  She has brought an abundance of knowledge from her previous roles with Austin Bank demonstrating great leadership and serving as a mentor to her fellow Universal Bankers.”

Kelly Kizer, AVP/Retail Office Manager, Lindale

“I know I can always depend on Courtney to help solve a problem.  She wants to learn everything she can whenever possible about how something works and how to fix a problem . . . never quitting until she figures it out.”

Maria Davenport, SVP/Retail Market Manager, Whitehouse

“Courtney is very knowledgeable in her role and always very helpful.  She is fun to work with and knows how to get the job done.  Courtney trained me in the beginning of my CSR career and I owe a great deal of my success and credibility to her, for that I am forever grateful.”

Cheree Carnes, Customer Service Representative, Whitehouse

Courtney is all that and more! I have had the pleasure of working with her at two different branches and I was sad that she was not in my neighborhood anymore, but I'm so glad she is still with Austin Bank and now in her own neighborhood!  Congratulations Courtney!
