by Austin Bank 9. January 2018 16:37

To be nominated as an Austin Bank Star, one must exhibit the following characteristics:  high standards of morals and ethics; positive attitude; pride in their job; ability to work well with others; embodies the Austin Bank core values; and dedicated, loyal and committed.  This month’s Star often partners with lenders to make visits to commercial customers.  Through their commendations and praise, we are pleased to recognize Bradan Myrick, AVP/Treasury Management Officer, as our first Star of the Month for 2018.

Bradan joined the Austin Bank team in 2014 as part of the Treasury Management team with four years of previous banking experience.  He is responsible for meeting with prospective clients, setting them up on our Austin Bank business services, training them and then providing customer support as the relationship progresses.  “Bradan is very knowledgeable and has been a joy to take on prospect and customer calls,” shares Francis Spruiell, SVP/Regional President, Nacogdoches.  “His easy rapport with our clients and ability to explain our TM products in a way that all can understand earns him compliments from customers.”  His supervisor describes him as “quick to help his coworkers and go the extra mile when his ‘shoes are already worn out’.”  And the sentiment is echoed by Gay Smith, SVP/Relationship Manager, Tyler Cumberland, when she adds “Bradan is always willing to jump in the car and go with me to help a customer.”

Bradan is a 2006 graduate of Grace Community School in Tyler where he ran cross country, and holds Bachelors in Business Administration in Finance from the University of Texas at Tyler.  He lives in Tyler with his dog, Colt, and enjoys four-wheelers, playing golf, fast cars, woodworking, skeet and target shooting.  He has also earned a second degree black belt in Tae-Kwon-Do.  Bradan is a member of Green Acres Baptist Church, the Tyler Chamber and Tyler Young Professionals Network.

“Bradan brings a level of productivity and enthusiasm to the Treasury Management department that raises the bar for all of us.  He takes ownership of customer needs and sees each problem through to resolution, all while keeping his eyes open for opportunities to increase the profitability and success of Austin Bank.  He’s a bright star on the Austin Bank team and a deserving recipient of this honor.”

Mike Simpson, VP/Treasury Management Officer, Longview Oak Forest

“Bradan is the perfect example of Austin Bank’s passionate commitment to customer service.  It shows every day in the compliments we get from both customers and employees.”

Todd Burton, SEVP/Chief Financial Officer, Jacksonville

“Bradan is most helpful in learning about our customers’ needs and tailoring services to meet those needs.  His personal connection aids in setting us apart from our competitors.”

Gay Smith, SVP/Relationship Manager, Tyler Cumberland
