Congratulations to Nena Colon, Customer Service Representative in Palestine, on her selection as Austin Bank’s October 2020 Star of the Month. Nena always goes above and beyond to help our customers. She lives the Austin Bank values of honesty, service and confidentiality.
Joining the Bank in 2013 as a Teller, Nena quickly moved into her role as Customer Service Representative in 2014. She is dedicated and committed to always giving 100% to every customer. Recently a customer shared these comments after his interaction with Nena, “She was so helpful and sailed right through everything we needed to do. Nena is a very pleasant person – you need to keep that one.” Coworkers share this is not the first time they have received compliments from customers on Nena. She always has a smile on her face.
Her colleagues also appreciate Nena. She helps new employees as they learn their roles and is available to aid in translating for the loan department or teller line when needed. Nena is always trusted to get the job done in a timely manner and without errors, whether it be a task delegated by her supervisors or something to help a customer from the loan department. She is a team player and works for the betterment of all.
Nena and her husband, John, live in Palestine. She is close to her family (mom, dad, three brothers) and enjoys spending time with them. In addition, she likes traveling, reading and collecting old books. Fall is her favorite time of year, and she loves all kinds of plants.
