This month’s Star is a low-maintenance kind of guy. One simply doing his job without fanfare. Yet he plays an important role in the business operations of the Bank and we are excited to introduce him to you. Congratulations to Gilbert Moss, a Banking Officer in the Special Assets Division, who works from our Longview Greggton office!
Gilbert is a quiet man with a solid work ethic and dedication to the best interests of Austin Bank. Working quickly and efficiently, he takes great pride in ensuring he makes the best decisions for the Bank. Gilbert is responsible for collecting charged off demand deposit accounts over $300 and past due loans. He collects with a ‘soft touch’ and his recovery success speaks to his technique. Gilbert maintains a firm grasp of the Bank’s core values and allows a piece of advice he received from Mr. Austin early in his tenure with the Bank to guide him daily. His friendly attitude while listening to each customer he encounters paves the way toward a solution that works for them and the Bank.
A member of the Austin Bank team since 2000, Gilbert will be celebrating his 21st anniversary with the company in just a few short months. He and his wife, Cindy, are high school sweethearts and have been married over 40 years. They live in Longview where they enjoy spending time with their family complete with two grown children, ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Gilbert is a member of the American Collectors Association.
“Gil always has a smile on his face and a good attitude. He is kind and patient with customers and their circumstances. Gilbert is a fantastic employee and such a pleasure to work with.”
Shannon Seay, VP/Special Assets Manager/Longview Greggton
“Gilbert is an amazing employee and a good, kind and honest man that we are lucky to know and have as a coworker and friend.”
Lisa Sampson, SVP/Loan Operations Manager/ Longview Greggton
“Gil’s job duties provide one of the most easily measured benefits for the Bank – collection of past dues and charged off accounts. He has a proven track record of success. Gil’s key strengths include patience and persistence. These have obviously served him – and the Bank – well.”
Billy Mullins, SEVP/Chief Risk Officer, Longview Greggton
