Austin Bank Honors Van Employees

Austin Bank recently honored three Van employees at its 2007 Service Award Luncheon.  Kelly C. Tunnell, Latitia V. Nichols and Jennifer D. Baskin were each recognized for 10 years of service with the bank.

They were among 32 bank employees feted for outstanding service and longevity on the job at a luncheon held December 7 at the Willow Brook Country Club in Tyler.  The annual luncheon recognized Austin Bank employees who completed five, 10, 15, and 20 years of service in 2007. 

“We are proud to recognize these employees. They work as a team providing financial services our friends, neighbors and the businesses within East Texas,” said Austin Bank Vice Chairman Jeff Austin III. “These valuable, loyal employees give our bank customers excellent service on a daily basis.”

“At Austin Bank our employees are the difference.  We proudly recognize the commitment and dedication each of these individuals has made to the Bank and its customers,” said John P. Williams, President and CEO.

The Van honorees that each completed 10 years of service in 2007 are:

Kelly Tunnell, with 15 years banking experience, is a Vice President, Retail Office Manager of the Austin Bank Van office and a Retail Market Manager of the Bank’s Northern Market.   She currently attends Tyler Junior College and is a graduate of Grand Saline High School.  A resident of Van, Tunnell is a member of the Chamber of Commerce.  She and her husband, Kevin, have three sons, Kalen, Dalton and Devin, and one daughter, Kaley.

Latitia Nichols is Teller Operations Supervisor and Teller Trainer for the Bank’s Northern Market.  Nichols has 12 years total banking experience.  She is a graduate of Van High School and attended Trinity Valley Community College. She and her husband, Chris, have three daughters, Britnee, Jaycee and Sierra, and one granddaughter.

Jennifer Baskin is a Loan Processor with 28 years banking experience.  She has worked as a Customer Service Manager, New Accounts Teller and Loan Officer.  A resident of Martins Mill, Baskin and her husband, Heidle, have two daughters, Haley and Katy. Baskin is a graduate of Canton High School and attended Lamar University in Beaumont.  She is a member of Lakeside Baptist Church in Canton.
