AUSTIN BANK NAMES KEN ALLEN LOCATION PRESIDENT OF DOWNTOWN TYLER OFFICE

March 1, 2007:  Austin Bank Vice Chairman Jeff Austin, III announced that Ken Allen has joined Austin Bank as a Vice President, and will serve as Location President of the Downtown Tyler Office.  Allen comes from Texas State Bank where he served as Vice President of Commercial Lending.

“We are excited that Ken has decided to join the Austin Bank team.  His knowledge and experience will be a benefit to our customers.  With his commitment to the community, he will be a valuable addition to our Downtown Tyler office,” said John Williams, President/CEO.

Allen has been in banking since 1992.  He has over 15 years experience in both Tyler and Longview soliciting, managing and expanding commercial customer relationships.  Allen has managed a loan portfolio with typical loan requirements ranging from $100,000 to $2 million.

Allen is a graduate of Lindale High School and University of Texas at Tyler.  He is very active in civic and community affairs in Tyler and Smith County.  He is currently on the Junior Achievement of Tyler Board of Directors, and JA Teaching Associate for the past 15 years.  He is a Past Chairman of the Southern Oaks Baptist Church Finance Committee, AMBUCS Civic Club and Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce Education Sub-Committee.
