Austin Bank Honors Emory Employees

Austin Bank recently honored Ruth Middleton and Jessie Hicks, two Emory employees, at its 2007 Service Award Luncheon.

They were among 32 bank employees recognized for outstanding service and longevity on the job at a luncheon held December 7 at the Willow Brook Country Club in Tyler.   The annual luncheon feted Austin Bank employees who completed five, 10, 15, or 20 years of service in 2007. 

“We are proud to recognize Ruth and Jessie. They work as a team providing financial services to our friends, neighbors and the businesses in Emory and throughout East Texas,” said Austin Bank Vice Chairman Jeff Austin III. “These valuable, loyal employees give our Emory customers excellent service on a daily basis.”

“At Austin Bank our employees are the difference.  We proudly recognize the commitment and dedication each of these individuals has made to the Bank and its customers,” said John P. Williams, President and CEO.

The Emory employee honorees are:

Ruth Middleton, a Teller, was recognized for 10 years of service.  Middleton has 30 years banking experience as a teller, Assistant Loan Processor and Insurance Processor.  A resident of Emory, Middleton is a Texas Lifetime PTA member and a member of the Rains Garden Club and Believers Baptist Church.  She and her husband, Ray, have three children, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Jessie Hicks, a Loan Processor, received a five-year service award.  Hicks had 12 years banking experience as a teller and in loan processing.  She is active in the Independent Order of Foresters, Rains Youth Sports Association and the Rains High School Booster Club.  She and her husband, Mickey, have two daughters, Cari and Marissa, and two sons, Blake and Brett.
