Austin Bank Honors Chris Thompson

Chris ThompsonAustin Bank recently honored Chris Thompson at its 2007 Service Award Luncheon.  Thompson, a Community Lender in the Austin Bank Gilmer office, was recognized for five years of service. He was one of 32 bank employees feted for outstanding service and longevity on the job at a luncheon held at the Willow Brook Country Club in Tyler.

“We are proud to acknowledge Chris and his contributions to the bank. He works diligently providing financial services to our friends and neighbors, as well as the businesses in Gilmer and through out East Texas,” said Austin Bank Vice Chairman Jeff Austin III. “Chris is a valuable loan officer who works with our Gilmer customers to give them excellent service on a daily basis.”

Thompson has worked at Austin Bank as a Teller, Credit Clerk, Loan Documentation Specialist and Loan Assistant.  He is a graduate of Gladewater High School, Kilgore College with an Associates Degree in Accounting, and is currently attending LeTourneau College.  Thompson is a member of the Rotary Club.  Chris and his wife, Betsy, have one son, Mason.

This year’s annual luncheon recognized Austin Bank employees who completed five, 10, 15, or 20 years of service in 2007.
