Austin Bank Names Robert L. Hancock, Jr. President of Tyler West Loop Facility
Austin Bank Chairman, Jeff Austin, Jr., announced the hiring of Robert L. Hancock, Jr. as President of the bank’s West Loop office in Tyler.
“Robert Hancock is a dedicated bank employee ready to pursue
the Austin Bank mission of serving the financial needs of our
community,” said Austin. “As the West Loop President, Robert
will see that our East Texas customers continue to receive
excellent service and products.”
Hancock, who has 11 years banking experience, began his
career at the Austin Bank Whitehouse facility. He later moved to
First State Bank Frankston (an Austin Bank affiliate) as Vice
President/Branch Manager of their Noonday office.
Hancock earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in
Finance from the University of Texas at Tyler. He also attended
Eastfield Community College in Mesquite, Tyler Junior College
and the ABA Branch Manager School in Austin.
Hancock is very active in civic and community affairs in Tyler
and Smith County where he currently serves on the Board of
Directors for the East Texas Food Bank and Junior Achievement.
He is on the executive committee of the Tyler Area Chamber of
Commerce Board of Directors and is the chamber’s Contact Club
Chairman. Hancock is a member of the South Tyler Rotary Club
and co-chair for the 2006 American Cancer Society Relay
for Life.
A resident of Chandler, Hancock and his wife, Jennifer, have one
daughter, Ashleigh, and a son, Rob.
