AUSTIN BANK WELCOMES NEW VICE PRESIDENT, COMMUNITY LENDER JOHN MEBANE
November, 2006

John Mebane has joined Austin Bank as Vice
President and community Lender in the Grand
Saline office. Mebane comes to Austin Bank with
over 21 years of banking experience in
management, agricultural and commercial real
estate lending. He is the former Vice President for
AgriLand, FCA in Henderson and Van Zandt
Counties.
“We are fortunate to have someone of John’s
experience and knowledge on the Austin Bank
team,” said Mr. Austin. “John is a dedicated bank
employee ready to pursue the Austin Bank
mission of serving the financial needs of our
community.”
Mebane is a graduate of Sulphur Springs High
School and East Texas State University with a
Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Science.
A long-time resident of Canton, John and his wife,
Sally, have three children and one grandchild.
Mebane is a member of the Van Zandt County Beef
and Forage Committee, the Canton Youth
Recreational Association and the Van Zandt
County Fair.
