AUSTIN BANK WELCOMES BACK CELIA COTTON

Celia M. Cotton has resumed her duties as Location President of the Austin Bank’s Tyler Med Center office, announced Austin Bank Chairman Jeff Austin, Jr. Mrs. Cotton originally joined Austin Bank in 1995 but took a short leave of absence recently to spend time with her family.

“We are fortunate to have someone of Celia’s experience and knowledge back on the Austin Bank team,” said Mr. Austin. “Celia will be an asset to both our current and new banking customers in Tyler.”

Cotton has more than 40 years banking experience. Prior to joining Austin Bank, she worked as a Vice President for NCNB (now Bank of America) and served on the staff of the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking. Cotton earned her Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at Tyler, graduating Cum Laude. She is a graduate of the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University, the American Bankers Association’s Graduate and National Personnel
School, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Tyler Junior College with a degree in Bank Management.

Cotton resides in Tyler with her husband, Spencer where she is very active in the civic and community affairs. She is a member of the Tyler Lions Club and graduate of the Leadership Tyler, Class IX. Cotton has been a participant in the United Way of Greater Tyler, the Community Concert Association, the American Heart Association, member of the Alpha Chi Honor Society at UT Tyler, and recipient of the Campaign Chairman’s Award for the 1986 United Way Drive.

Cotton has returned to her office located at 611 South Beckham across from Mother Frances Hospital. We invite you to come by and visit with Celia. She will be happy to help you with your loan and deposit needs.
