AUSTIN BANK RECOGNIZES LONGVIEW EMPLOYEES

Austin Bank recently honored seven Longview employees at its 2006 Service Award Luncheon. They were among 26 employees who were recognized for outstanding service and longevity on the job at a luncheon held at the Pinecrest Country Club in Longview on December 6.

“We are proud to recognize these employees. They work as a team providing financial services to the East Texas community we serve, said Austin Bank Chairman Jeff Austin Jr. “These valuable employees are dedicated, loyal workers who give our bank customers outstanding service on a daily basis.”

The annual luncheon recognized Austin Bank employees from its 21 branch locations. This year’s honorees had completed five, 10, 15, 35 or 40 years of service in 2006. The Longview honorees included one employee with 10 years of service and six employees with five years of service. They were:

Sarah Minton, a Teller Operations Supervisor, received the 2006 Service Award for 10 years of service. Minton has 13 years banking experience as a teller. She is a graduate of Chireno High School and resides in Longview.

Kim Raney, a Senior Credit Analyst, was recognized for five years of service. Raney has 13 years banking experience as a credit analyst. She is a graduate of Captain Shreve High School in Shreveport, Louisiana. She earned a Business Administration degree from the University of Arkansas. She is a member of the First United Methodist Church of Longview.

Jennifer Sperier, a Bookkeeping Clerk, received the 2006 Service Award for five years. Sperier graduated from Timberlane Regional High School in Plaistow, NH. She has attended Castle College in New Hampshire and the University of Phoenix. Sperier has an Associates Degree in Human Services.

Dennis Means, a Data Processing Manager, was recognized for five years of service. A Gilmer resident, Means is a graduate of Harmony High School and Kilgore Junior College. He is currently attending American Sentinel University in Birmingham, AL. Means is a Boy Scout Committee member of Troup 311 and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Melissa Cole, a Computer Technician, received the 2006 Service Award for five years of outstanding service. Cole as a Computer Technician works in the bank’s HelpDesk Department. She is a graduate of Gilmer High School and a former teller.

Leann Chamberlain is a Loan Assistant / Secretary who was honored for five years of Austin Bank service. Chamberlain has eight years banking experience as a Customer Service Representative in the Call Center and as a loan assistant. She is a graduate of Pine Tree High School and a resident of Gilmer.

Abigayle Berry, a Customer Service Representative, was recognized for five years of service. A resident of Longview, Berry is a graduate of Pine Tree High School and currently attends Kilgore Junior College.
