Austin Bank Promotes Scott Haygood to Vice President of Gilmer Office

Austin Bank Vice Chairman Jeff Austin, III recently
announced the career promotion of Scott Haygood to
Vice President.
Haygood, Location President of the Austin Bank Gilmer
office, joined Austin Bank five years ago and was assigned
to the bank’s Loan Division. He was a Credit Analyst for
almost seven months before being promoted to Loan
Review/Compliance Analyst and then to Location
President of the Gilmer office in June 2007. Prior to his
banking career, Haygood worked as a consultant at
several industrial facilities while employed at AVIA
Environment, LLC.
Haygood earned a Master of Business Administration
from the University of Texas at Tyler and Bachelor of
Science from Stephen F. Austin State University. Following
graduation from Pine Tree High School in Longview,
Haygood received an Associates of Science degree from
Kilgore College. He has also completed several Texas
Bankers Association classes.
Active in the East Texas area, Haygood has been involved
with the East Texas Golf Association, Special Olympics,
Boy’s Ranch of Nacogdoches, East Texas Rural Grant
Project, Gregg County Ducks Unlimited and mentoring for
elementary school children in Longview School District.
A resident of Longview, Scott and his wife, Ami, have a
nine month son, Collin.
