Texas Bankers Association Honors Emory Banker
EMORY, April 17, 2008
Larry Reed, Senior Vice President at Austin Bank in Emory is being honored by the Texas Bankers Association for his dedication and commitment to Texas agriculture and the banking industry.
Bruce Bynum, Senior Vice President at Legend Bank in Bowie, Texas and Chairman of the Texas Bankers Association Agriculture & Rural Affairs Committee presented Reed with a plaque on behalf of Texas Bankers Association to Reed.
Reed’s dedication to ag lending in east Texas has been apparent in his support of the TBA’s Ag & Rural Affairs Conference for over ten years. He served as Chairman of the committee in 2003. He has been involved in almost every phase of agriculture from growing up on a dairy farm to raising horses and goats as an adult.
He has been with Austin Bank for over 10 years. Prior to that, he spent over 20 years with the Farm Credit Bank.
Representing all Texas banking institutions, the Texas Bankers Association brings together community and regional banks and branches, bank holding companies, savings associations, trust companies and savings banks.
