With over 25 years of experience in the banking industry, our July Star brings a positive attitude and commitment to customers with her EVERY day . . . even when a tree falls on her car during an ice storm. We are proud to announce Debbie Finley, Customer Service Representative in the Tyler South office as our July Star of the Month.
Debbie joined the Austin Bank team in 2009 at the Troup location before moving to Tyler South. She is focused on account openings and onboarding, but is also cross-trained to assist with most of the branch duties including working behind the teller line when needed. With her bank training background, Debbie is always gracious to share her expertise and assist others. Debbie has recently become the face of Austin Bank in the Meadow Lake Senior Living Facility office, assisting customers there two days a week. “Since Debbie has been working at Meadow Lake, I have gotten to know her very well,” states Tamara Cox, Retail Office Manager, Tyler Cumberland Park. “She always has such a positive attitude and loves her job. Our customers at Meadow Lake just love her and she always makes sure they are taken care of.”
“Debbie is our South Tyler mystery shop queen – consistently receiving scores averaging over 100,” shares Cindy Cook, Retail Office Manager, Tyler South. She has also been recognized in the Winner’s Circle Awards in 2011, 2012, and 2013 for each of these categories each year: Training Extra Credit (above required hours), Most ICA Referrals and Perfect Attendance.
A graduate of Allegany High School in Cumberland, Maryland and Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland, Debbie now calls Tyler home. She is very active in civic work and was the recipient of an Austin Bank Community Service Award for her work with the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary in 2012. In addition to the Salvation Army, Debbie also serves as a Board member for the Tyler Civic Chorale, works with the Tyler Sister Cities Program and is a member of First Presbyterian Church. Debbie has a dog, Tyler, and four cats. She enjoys walking her dog, working in her yard, singing, attending and performing in the theatre. A fun fact – Debbie loves Halloween. She likes to wear different character masks, especially animals.
